The Boys from Rent Boy...the Musical
Michael Argento (B.C. and Mike Jones) is a born and bred New Yorker, having spent most of his childhood between Alphabet City and Astoria (before both of their gentrifications). At the age of twelve he had the great opportunity to work with Al Pacino in his film Chinese Coffee. He has also appeared in Angeles in America for HBO, and You’ve Got Mail, among other major films. Michael took over a decade break from acting to front-man the rock band A Late Design and travel all over the world. Now back in New York, he is making his Off Broadway debut and can't be more excited about it and being with the team behind Rent Boy. Ride or die to mom, brother, and sister! Love you guys!
Mario Castro (Edge and German Master), a native New Yorker, is a classically trained singer and graduate from LaGuardia Arts High School. He has studied voice at SMU in Dallas and has appeared throughout the US in musicals and operas. He will be appearing as Raphael in the upcoming web series, Pride: The Series this spring. In December he appeared as Jack in the Little Orchestra Society’s Babes in Toyland at Avery Fisher Hall. Regional Credits: The Secret Garden (Fakir), Miss Saigon (Chris), Copacabana (Rico), Legally Blonde (Carlos), Kiss Me Kate (Hortensio), and Sweeney Todd (Pirelli). Brendan Daugherty (Awards Assistant) is excited to be joining the wonderful cast and crew of Rent Boy. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a BA in Theater Performance and BFA in Vocal Performance. Television and Film Credits: Hannah Montana: The Movie, Away We Go, Smash, and appears weekly on Saturday Night Live. His theater credits include Token in Inertia: The Musical, Woof in Hair, Jamie in The Last 5 Years, and the Broadway tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Amongst other things he is an elite gymnast, a sailor, surfer, skateboarder, and Brooklyn enthusiast.
Randall Holloway (Don K. Dick) makes his Off-Broadway debut performing in Rent Boy. He recently moved from Washington DC having completed his undergraduate studies at Howard University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. He has starred in A Chorus Line (Richie), Company (Peter), The Wiz (Tinman), Sweet Charity (Oscar), and Perseus Bayou (Perseues). In his spare time Randall enjoys having a glass of wine with friends, catching up with his favorite television shows, and going to the gym. Randall wants to thank his family and close friends for continuing to show love and support while he chases after his dream.
Parker Krug (Devon Williams) is proud to make his NYC theater debut with this original musical comedy. Parker graduated with a degree in Theater from Christopher Newport University in Virginia. Regional credits include: Kiss Me Kate (Bill/Lucentio), West Side Story (Diesel), Brigadoon (Harry Beaton), All Shook Up (Dean), Hairspray (Brad/Dance Captain), among others. Andrew Ryan Rix (the Client) is a classically trained baritone. He received his training at the Boston Conservatory where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. He appeared in the National Tour of Titanic (John B. Thayer). Regional credits include Gypsy (Mr. Goldstone and Pastey), Man of La Mancha (Dr. Carrasco), and The Secret Garden (Neville Cravin). On the opera stage he has appeared in the title role in Don Giovanni, The Little Prince (Pilot) and The Old Maid and the Thief (Bob).
Ryan Rodriguez (Ensemble/Swing) recently completed the B.F.A. program at Florida International University Theatre. His favorite roles have been Tommy in The Who’s Tommy, Carlos in The Cook, and Roger in Silence, for each of which he received Irene Ryan Award nominations. Ryan performed in Escort (the earlier version of Rent Boy…the Musical) in Fort Lauderdale prior to his moving to New York City.
